Hello Interhighway,
It's been a very very loooooong time. I have been in hospital, and hopefully I have undegone my last ever surgery (touch wood). I'm at that annoying stage of recovery where my mind feels I'm back to normal but my body wants to sleep as soon as it's been standing up for five minutes. Le sigh.
As she knew I'd be mooching around for the last few weeks me madre was very kind and bought me some Uggs. She got the long ones in the classic colour (I wish they had been black & shorter - but gift horse, mouth etc). I don't really know how I feel about them. In theory I'm with Lily and hate them. I think they are uber unflattering on me and my stumpy peasant legs, and they don't really do anything for supermodel legs either. I think they are only acceptable with jeans, and I can't stand them with dresses (I can cope with them paired with shorts though!).
So why on earth would I ever own a pair I hear you ask. Well, they are just sooo comfy, and they don't always bother me look-wise as I don't have to see myself wearing them! Ha! Typing this has made me realise how stupid I really am. The main reason I always own a pair is that every year I go skiing, and I still haven't found other shoes that are anywhere near as good. So yes this means that I own a pair of boots that hardly ever get worn, but I still wouldn't be without them.
Looking on the website I realise I want some more pairs (seriously how is this possible?).
I love the bright colour of the purple ones, and the other ones I love because I always think they look like a normal pair of uggs have thrown up over themselves!
Hmm, maybe all the hospital time is making me slightly delerious. I will have to review this post in a few days time to see if it is as nonsensical as I suspect! Have a good week. Ooh and happy may day! Go find a pole & go dance (wow that sounds way more dodgey than I was aiming for)
